A fascinating journey through 160 years of Cartier creations including over 350 jewels, timepieces, and luxury objects. Regularly displayed in major exhibitions at the most prestigious and internationally renowned museums, the Cartier Collection reflects the evolution of Cartiers artistic and stylistic creation. This handsome catalog accompanies the exhibition Cartier at Prague Castle: The Power of Style in the Riding Hall from July 9 to October 17, 2010. The exhibition features over 350 exceptional and historical jewels, timepieces, and luxury objects and offers insight into the royal jewelers treasures and the sources of inspiration that lead to the creation of the works of art. The exhibition traces 160 years in the glorious history of the Maison Cartier. 362 pieces from the Cartier Collectionaccessories, masterpieces of jewelry and watchmaking from the end of the nineteenth century to the present dayand four exceptional loans from the Princes Palace of Monaco, as well as several archival documents are featured. These rare pieces, in addition to exclusive archival images and biographical stories about their prestigious owners, are presented in the exhibition catalog, created in close collaboration with curator Eva Eisler.
